Bill & Robbye Grissom are the owners of the BnR Pit Grill, located close to historic downtown Mabank Texas. Our mission: to serve the local Cedar Creek Lake Community and its visitors the finest food available in the area. We, our Pit Boss, Will Grissom, and the rest of the Pit Crew, are committed to providing a warm welcome & family-friendly atmosphere for our patrons and their guests. We hope you enjoy the great food and drink items we offer. Everything is cooked fresh and to your order. We use only fresh beef, chicken & vegetables. Our catfish is raised in the good, old USA—not China. This definitely makes the taste difference! BnR Pit Grill is a great family-owned restaurant serving tasty food and beverages (including the Adult kind) at affordable prices.

The BnR Pit Grill is located on Business 175 just west of beautiful downtown Mabank, TX. The completely remodeled facility has plenty of seating in both a large non-smoking dining room and a full-service bar/smoking dining room. The 10 flat-screen TVs ensure that you can watch your favorite sporting event while enjoying fine food and a glass of wine or other adult beverage if you choose. (You might even catch an episode of Dancing with the Stars or American Idol if it’s a slow sports week.) The menu is a broad stroke of the freshest salads, hand-battered, fresh grilled and fried items and products. Something for everyone's taste can be found at the BnR. Ample parking, convenient location, a great Pit Crew – all make for a wonderful experience that your family will enjoy.

BnR Pitt Grill

Bill Grissom Happily married to Robbye, and the father of Effie, Will & Shannon, Bill is a veteran of the U.S. Army. He served in the Army Security Agency, spending 47 months on active duty: almost all of this being spent in Europe. After the army, he found his niche in corporate America. Bill retired in 2001 after 27 years in the world of data and telecommunications. After a couple of years being a house-husband, “Wings Over Seven Points” became his next great adventure. He spent his time building the BnR Brand for customer service, quality food, and someplace to go where the entire family could have a good time.

About 4 years later, when a deal couldn't be struck to purchase "Wings", it was time to move on once again. Bill remained active in the business community volunteering for many Cedar Creek Lake Chamber of Commerce events and serving as a Director on the Chamber Board. He also spent time bell-ringing for his favorite charity, "The Salvation Army". In October 2010, BnR Enterprizes LLC purchased the historic "Pitt Grill" in Mabank. A total renovation, doubling the footprint, and making radical menu changes followed. This was accomplished with strong support from the City of Mabank. The new BnR Pit Grill opened May 2, 2011. Bill can still be seen there almost daily schmoozing with the customers, tending bar, and waiting tables. And he'd love to meet YOU!

Robbye Grissom Well, Bill calls himself the "beauty" of the operation, with Robbye being the "brains". That pretty much sums it up! She became Bill's sidekick in 1996 when he promised her she'd never be bored. And she says he's definitely lived up to that promise.

Robbye has a full-time job in the telecommunications industry located in the big city, so she doesn’t get to spend quite as much time here as she'd like. She's a current Officer serving on the Board of the Cedar Creek Lake Chamber of Commerce, and is also active in the Cedar Creek Lake Parrot Heads.

You'll see her primary impact on the BnR Pit Grill when you experience the casual, friendly atmosphere in the dining rooms. Oh, and she makes sure the lights stay on, too! When she's not at the BnR, volunteering or working her full-time job, she enjoys spending time with her baby granddaughter and the rest of her family.

Will Grissom Will graduated from Mabank High School in 1995. He was a four-sport athlete and was named 2nd Team All State Receiver in his junior year. He is single, and when he had spare time (before BnR), he enjoyed golf and music.

Will has extensive experience in the food service industry. He has catered many large music and sporting events both in Texas and throughout the United States, including one of the Inaugural Balls for President George W. Bush. His current goal as "Pit Boss" is to make the BnR a place where he is proud to work and customers are glad they came to visit.
